March 28th


The Columbia County Honor a Veteran Committee will be honoring Captain John W. Blunt of Chatham .   Captain Blunt served in the United States Army during the Civil War.  Captain Blunt was awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor for extraordinary heroism on October 19, 1864 .  He passed away on January 21, 1910 .  The Ceremony will be held at 401 State Street in Hudson New York starting at 9:00 A.M.  The public is invited.  For more information please contact Vince at 851-2946


March 29th Vietnam Veterans Day


Columbia County Vietnam Veterans will be holding a service on Vietnam Veterans Day, Tuesday, March 29, 2011.  The Service will begin at 9:00am, at the Vietnam Veterans Monument located at the Court House Park in Hudson.  Those Columbia County Veterans who lost their lives in Vietnam will be remembered, along with Veterans who served in Vietnam and during the Vietnam War. April 25th


The Columbia County Honor a Veteran Committee will be honoring Corporal Raymond Strang, Hudson.   Corporal Strang served in the United States Army during the Korean War.  He was honorably discharged on September 2, 1952 .  He passed away on July 17, 2010 .  The Ceremony will be held at 401 State Street in Hudson New York starting at 9:00 A.M.  The public is invited.  For more information please contact Vince at 851-2946


May 23


The Columbia County Honor a Veteran Committee will be honoring Major General Morgan H. Chrysler, Hudson .  General Chrysler served in the United States Army during the Civil War. He was mustered out on January 15, 1866 .  He passed away on August 24, 1890 .  The ceremony will begin at 9am at 401 State St in Hudson. Call Vince at 851-2946 for more information.
